>As we know man command is most commonly used command to take help of linux commands. You noticed sometimes man ouput include following line
For more details, see mkfs(8)(suppose you issued man command)
What does “mkfs(8)” mean here?
To understand meaning of this line we must keep in mind that man panges divided into chapters and here 5 indicate chapter number.
To directly move into chapter no. 5 you can use following command.
root# man 8 mkfs
